Exclusive : Yahaya Adamu Terminates Contract With Quang Nam
Published: May 14, 2014
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Yahaya Adamu has mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Vietnamese side Quang Nam.
Quang Nam snapped up the former Flying Eagles forward last December, offering him a one - season deal, after impressing in a pre - season tournament where he struck three times.
But there was a clause in the 20 - year - old’s contract that allows him to shred that agreement six months before expiration if he’s not satisfied with the South Central Vietnamese club.
The ex Kwara United man wanted a fresh challenge, and has regretted the decision to formalize terms with Quang Nam as the club are flirting with relegation with only nine rounds before the end of the Super League.
In addition, Yahaya Adamu was constantly being played out of position instead of his preferred role as a top striker.
Despite being deployed as a classical number 10, he still netted 5 goals in 12 matches, while providing 4 assists.
