Published: August 05, 2014
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria Under 20 international Anthony Omaka practiced for the first time with French club SC Bastia on Monday ahead of the prospect of being offered a deal.
French - Cameroonian agent Oliver Noah, who represents the SamVic Academy pupil, is hopeful his ward will follow in the footsteps of some illustrious African names that the Corsica outfit have produced, including Roger Milla, Michael Essien and Alex Song.
“Innocent Bonke just arrived to start trials with SC Bastia. Batsia is a Ligue 1 team coached by a legendary player, Claude Makélélé.
“The club gives chance to young players. Essien started there, why not Omaka? I hope he has time to adapt in the next few weeks,”Oliver Noah, who also represents Isaac Success, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The central midfielder will certainly miss the first leg of the African Youth Championship qualifier against Lesotho scheduled to take place next weekend, August 16.
