Efe Ambrose And Celtic Allowed Into Champions League Play Off Round

Scotland champions Celtic have qualified for the play - off round of the Champions League after UEFA ruled that Legia Warsaw fielded an ineligible player, Bartosz Bereszynski in the second leg, third qualifying round which they lost 2-0 on the pitch.
Thus, Celtic were awarded a 3 - 0 victory and given that they lost the first leg tie 4 - 1, they have advanced to the play -off round at the expense of Legia Warsaw as they scored a goal away from home.
Nigeria international Efe Ambrose was not fielded in Wednesday’s tie after he was sent off in the first leg held in Poland.
Glasgow Celtic will discover their opponents in the next round when the draw is made in Nyon this afternoon.
Legia Warsaw have five days to appeal the decision of Europe’s governing body, UEFA.
