Keshi, Raheem Lawal Rubbish Fake Injury Report
Published: November 14, 2014
Both coach Stephen Keshi and Raheem Lawal have distanced themselves from local media reports (not allnigeriasoccer.com) that the Eskiehirspor midfielder is battling to be fit for the Afcon qualifying clash against Congo in Pointe - Noire.
Therefore, the 24 - year - old is in line to make his sixth international appearance for Nigeria on Saturday.
It is confirmed that Raheem Lawal only suffered a knock during training on Thursday, but the injury was blown out of proportion by mischief makers.
Per CAF regulations, the Super Eagles will have a feel of the Stade Municipal de Pointe-Noire turf on Friday.
Defending champions Nigeria lost their opening Group A fixture against Congo 3 - 2, and must win by at least two goals or the same scoreline to keep hope alive.
