Published: November 17, 2014
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that scouts representing several clubs in Norway and Sweden will be in the stands on Wednesday when the Super Eagles clash with Bafana Bafana in both countries final Group A African Cup of Nations qualifying fixture.
Their mission at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium is to run the rule over some of the domestic based players that may be fielded against South Africa, and recommend the players that impress to Scandinavian teams.
The likes of Chigozie Agbim (Gombe United), Solomon Kwambe (Sunshine Stars, Nigeria); Azubuike Egwuekwe (Warri Wolves), Tony Edjomari (Nasarawa United) will be watched at close quarters if they get playing time against South Africa.
Other players on the radar of the scouts include Gbolahan Salami (Warri Wolves); Osaguona Ighodaro (Enugu Rangers), Emem Eduok (Dolphins) and Kingsley Sokari (Enyimba).
Two Warri Wolves players - Azubuike Egwuekwe and Gbolahan Salami - got playing time in the last match against Congo.
