Published: February 26, 2015
Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba, has announced his 21 - man squad for the 2015 African Youth Championship taking place in Senegal, starting from March 8 - 22.
What is not surprising is that the Fifa Under 17 World Cup - winning manager has left out Tottenham Hotspur trainee Musa Yahaya, who has failed to recover from a knee complaint.
But he has selected other players who made his squad list to the United Arab Emirates two years ago including skipper Musa Mohammed, Akinjide Idowu and Izuchukwu Omego.
Others include Abdullahi Alfa, Dele Alampasu, Chidera Ezeh and Taiwo Awoniyi.
An analysis of the roster revealed that 3 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 6 midfielders and 6 strikers will be on the plane to Senegal next week.
The Flying Eagles are in Group A of the tournament alongside Senegal, DR Congo and Ivory Coast.
