Exclusive : Hamstring Injury Rules Chidera Ezeh Out Of AYC Final, Porto Starlet To Spend One Month On The Sidelines
Published: March 21, 2015
According to leaks gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com’s editorial staff, Porto youth - teamer Chidera Ezeh has been ruled out of the African Youth Championship final between Nigeria and Senegal.
Contrary to malicious statements in the local media that he failed to convince in the first two matches, the reality is that Ezeh picked up a hamstring injury during training a day before the Flying Eagles tackled Ivory Coast.
And as a result, the River Lane Academy product was omitted from the squad that faced Ivory Coast plus sat out the semi - final tie against Ghana.
National Team medics have claimed that Chidera Ezeh suffered a minor tear, and will spend the next four weeks on the sidelines.
It is expected that Taiwo Awoniyi, who has notched three goals in Senegal, will lead the attack tomorrow.
