Torino To Rival Kuban Krasnodar For Carpi Striker Mbakogu
Published: May 15, 2015
Torino are mulling over a move for Carpi’s Nigerian striker Jerry Mbakogu, according to Turin based sports daily Tuttosport.
Ahead of the summer transfer market, Torino are working on a deal to sign their former player, Alessio Cerci , who is on loan at AC Milan but his economic rights belong to Atletico Madrid.
If the Maroons fail to lure Cerci back to Stadio Olimpico, other candidates are being considered among which is Mbakogu.
Mbakogu, 22, has been linked with possible moves to Stuttgart, Lokomotiv Moscow, Kuban Krasnodar and Sassuolo this summer.
He has a valid contract with newly promoted Serie A side Carpi until June 30, 2019.
