Modified : Taiwo Awoniyi Continues Push For Starting Spot At Fifa U20s With Brace In Friendly

The Nigeria Under 20 National Team humiliated Nürnberg Under 23s 5 - 0 in their penultimate tune - up game before departing Germany to New Zealand for the World Cup.

Kalmar trainee Taiwo Awoniyi continued to highlight his qualities as well as push for a starting spot in the twentieth edition of the Fifa Under 20s with a brace against the German opponents.

Goal - scoring defender Musa Mohammed, Kingsley Sokari and Alhassan Mohammed, who did not make the roster announced on Friday afternoon, also registered their names on the score  - sheet.

Their final scrimmage is on May 19th against the Under 23 team of Freiburg, beginning from 1430 hours.

The Nigeria delegation will fly out to New Zealand via Australia from Germany on May 23.
