Elderson Echiejile Frozen Out By Monaco

The future of Elderson Echiejile at Monaco is up in the air, with the coach of the Principality side, Leonardo Jardim , omitting him from the roster for the Champions League third qualifying round tie against Young Boys.

In the first leg held at STADE DE SUISSE Wankdorf Bern last Tuesday, the Super Eagles defender did not  make the teamsheet.

First choice left - back Layvin Kurzawa did not help the Nigerian’s cause for a starting shirt in Tuesday night’s game after he scored the opening goal against the Swiss opponents in the first leg.

Of the ten games Monaco played in the Champions League last season, Echiejile did not make their 18 - man squad 3 times while he was an unused substitute on four occasions.

The former Sporting Braga and Rennes man is tied to the Ligue 1 club until June 30, 2018.
