Published: August 04, 2015
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has dropped a strong hint that he plans to hand call - ups to Nigerian players based overseas who are doing well for their clubs for the Afcon qualifier against Tanzania.
Therefore, it is assumed that the likes of Anthony Ujah (Werder Bremen), Leon Balogun (Mainz), Odion Ighalo (Watford) Nosa Igiebor (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Brown Ideye (West Brom) and Victor Moses (Chelsea) will be named to the roster when it is announced.
“We will spread our dragnet far and wide, and any player who is in great form and we believe can add value to the Super Eagles will be invited to fight for shirt to represent Nigeria,” Oliseh said in a press release published by thenff.com.
Werder Bremen new man Anthony Ujah notched 10 goals during pre - season, four more than Odion Ighalo.
On the other hand, Nosa Igiebor has netted three times in official games for the Israeli champions while Moses has been impressive for Chelsea so much so that all talk of him leaving Stamford Bridge this summer is now an illusion.
