Former United States youth international Amobi Okugo has made his maiden appearance for Sporting KC in the MLS following his switch from Orlando City, and it came against Toronto in the last round of machetes.
By all indications, the midfielder’s performance at the BMO Field (Toronto, Ontario) ticked the right boxes even though he joined the fray in the second half.
Three minutes from time, the 24 - year - old assisted Jacob Peterson’s goal which guaranteed the points for Sporting KC, as the opponents were trailing by a goal.
The California - born Okugo was pleased with the reception from the Sporting KC supporters and he took to social media to show his appreciation after the game.
“Great 3 points for the group, shout outs to the boys and fans for welcoming me in #blessings #loading,” said Amobi.
