Published: August 19, 2015
Manager Leonardo Jardim has named Nigeria international Elderson Echiejile in his starting XI for tonight’s Champions League clash against Valencia at the Mestalla.
The left back has not featured in the competition this season due to uncertainties surrounding his future at the Principality side and the form of Layvin Kurzawa.
Scottish champions Celtic will start their play - off first leg tie against Malmo at Celtic Park without Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose.
The 26 - year - old will make his 26th appearance in the competition if he comes off the bench against the Swedish opponents.
Maccabi Tel Aviv number 40 Nosa Igiebor will play his fifth straight game in the Champions League in the Israeli champions’ clash against Manuel Akanji’s FC Basel at St. Jakob-Park.
Akanji, a Switzerland youth international, did not make FC Basel’s 18 - man squad.
