Huddersfield Town Mum On Shola Ameobi Link

Shola Ameobi has started training with Huddersfield Town, with a view to a possible move to the Championship club this month.
The transfer window in England closed for business on Tuesday but the former Newcastle hero was a free agent by then, meaning a transfer to the John Smith’s Stadium can still go through.
According to the well informed Huddersfield Daily Examiner, manager of The Terriers, Chris Powell, ran the rule over Ameobi in a scrimmage sometime this week.
But Huddersfield Town remained coy when contacted to verify the reports linking the attacker with a move to the club.
“I am sorry we can’t confirm if Shola Ameobi is training here, we can’t do so, ” an official of Huddersfield Town told allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
The 33 - year - old Ameobi has represented English teams throughout his career apart from a brief spell with Gaziantep BB (Turkey ) in 2014.
