FK Ufa forward Sylvester Igboun was delighted to be in the national team set - up for the first time in his career, but admitted that it was a challenge for him unlike what he experienced in Denmark and now Russia.
Having said that, the recently turned 25 - year - old did not look like a beginner when he debuted against Tanzania last weekend even though he was made to play in a rather new midfield role.
“The experience with the national team was a challenge for me, ” said Sylvester Igboun to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It was my first game for the great nation I always wanted to play for. I thank God for the way things went for me.
“ About my performance, I will say I am satisfied but of course I want to give more because there is still a long way to go. ”
Sylvester Igboun is currently in Moscow waiting to board a flight to Ufa, having departed Lagos on Wednesday.
He has featured 5 times in the Russian Premier League this season for his new club, scoring once.
