Victor Moses Reserves Special Praise For Winston Reid
Published: September 20, 2015
Victor Moses has hailed the impact of the defenders, especially Winston Reid, during West Ham’s shock 2 - 1 win over early season pacesetters Manchester City.
The Hammers had raced into a two - goal lead thanks to goals from the Nigeria international and Sakho before City pulled a goal back at the end of the first half.
“When it was 2-0 I thought we could have scored more goals, but then City scored and we had to defend really well in the second half.
“Reid was on fire today, everyone at the back was solid and we deserved the win. They have great players and were pushing to try to score but it wasn’t the day for them.”
With three wins on the road and the victory against Newcastle United, West Ham, occupy the second position on the table with 12 points.
