Alex Iwobi Pleased To Make International Bow For Nigeria

Super Eagles newbie Alex Iwobi was delighted to make his international debut for the national team in their 2 - 0 loss to Democratic Republic of Congo in a friendly on Thursday night.
At the age of 19 years, 5 months and 5 days, the Arsenal striker was given a run - out in the second half, when he replaced skipper Ahmed Musa in the 57th minute and showed glimpses of his potential especially in the closing minutes at the VISE Stadium.
“Glad to have made my debut for the #SuperEagles . Unfortunate to lose but still proud to represent my nation, ” Alex Iwobi said on Twitter.
The Hale End product could add to his international cap on Sunday, October 11 in the Super Eagles next friendly against Cameroon.
Iwobi racked racked up 11 appearances for the youth teams of England before pledging his international future to Nigeria.
