Swaziland National Team Promised Goat For Nigeria Draw
Published: November 16, 2015
The Swaziland National Football Team have been promised a goat by Madlenya Football Club PRO Jonase Vilane on the back of their impressive goalless draw with Nigeria in the World Cup second qualifying round, first leg held last Friday.
Vilane made the announcement during a sports programme broadcast on SBIS 1 on Friday morning, vowing to give the Sihlangu Semnikati a goat if they could manage a draw against the Super Eagles, which came to pass.
“The boys surprised us. A lot of people had written them off saying they stood no chance against Nigeria but they proved them otherwise.
“I was very impressed by Sihlangu and if it happens that they play well in Nigeria, I will talk with my family and do something even bigger for the boys,” Vilane was quoted as saying by Swazi Observer.
The Swaziland squad jetted into Port Harcourt on Sunday morning and were scheduled to hold a workout on the same day.
