Babajide Ogunbiyi Waiting To Hear From Viborg Over Contract Extension
Published: November 24, 2015
Babajide Ogunbiyi’s future with Viborg remains covered in mist, with his contract with the Danish Superliga side set to run out on December 31, 2015.
The Nigerian - American has found game time difficult to come by in the ongoing campaign, with only 2 appearances ( 1 start) to his name unlike the previous season when he made 27 starts for The Green Ones.
Ogunbiyi has not ruled out the possibility of staying in Jutland beyond 2015 so long as the club are interested in him.
“I do not know what’s going to happen. I just have to wait and see what happens. We have not been in contact for an extension at all, ” says Ogunbiyi to bold.dk.
“If they come up with something, it’s certainly a possibility to stay. But this requires of course that they are showing interest to keep me. ”
The 28 - year - old has played 109 league games in total for Viborg since he first moved to the club.
