Crown FC Name Waheed Bello as Coach

The Nigeria National League, NNL side, Crown FC of Ogbomoso have
appointed former player, Waheed Bello as part of their new technical
crew with a target of returning the club to greatness in the next
football season.
Coach Waheed Bello will assist Hakeem Busari who is the technical adviser of the Ajilete Valiant together with Coach Taju Raheem and Wasiu Zaka as goalkeeper trainer.
A graduate of Human Kinetics Studies from University of Ilorin, Bello also had Masters Degree in Sports Administration from
the same institution, just as he’s a fresh graduate from the CAF C License Coaching Course.
He was a creative winger and was known for his speed in his playing days, Bello is expected to bring his wealth of football experience to bear to bring his hometown club to a great reckoning.
Bello thanked the State Government of Oyo State for the opportunity to serve his boyhood club just as he promised to give his best for Crown FC to do well in the upcoming season.
“This is a very rare opportunity, for me to play for the team and to coach the same club, I’m happy and excited about it, not all former players get this chance, I’m humbled about this and I promised to be of great assistant to the head of technical crew and other members for us to achieve success,” he said.
Waheed Bello started his playing career with Crown FC in 1994 before moving to Shooting Stars of Ibadan in 1995.
He became a cult hero when he joined Kwara United FC in the year 2000 as he was a match winner in numerous games the Ilorin side.
He also had a stint with the current NPFL champions, Enyimba Int’l (2004), Julius Berger FC, made a return to Shooting Stars in 2005, then Ranchers Bees of Kaduna in 2006.
Bello traveled to Libya in 2007 at the latter stage of his career to play for Al-Akdar FC before returning home to join Crown FC where he retired in 2010 after helping the club gained promotion to the Premier League.
In 2012, he guided Ogbomoso United FC to promotion from Amateur II to I.
