Published: December 18, 2015
The management of Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, outfit, Giwa FC of Jos has come out with a statement debunking rumours making the rounds that the owner of the Club, Chris Giwa has put the Club up for sale.
In a statement released by the Club through its Media Officer, David King, the Club said Giwa FC of Jos is not for sale at any price and there has never been any reason to sell the Club.
In the statement, fans of the Club were assured that their loyalty would not be taken for granted in relation to issues of this magnitude and that the club won’t be sold either now or in the nearest future as people spreading such rumours are only mischief makers.
It was rumoured days ago that Kwara United FC of Illorin and Adamawa United FC of Yola were bidding to buy over the Jos Club of course the Club has distanced itself from the rumour.
Giwa FC, owned by former Chairman of Mighty Jets FC of Jos and one time General Manager of Plateau United FC also of Jos and now a businessman and politician, Ambassador Christopher Musa Giwa, are two years old in the Nigeria Premier League, finishing fourth in the 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 league seasons, narrowly missing out on continental football.
