Official : Nathan Oduwa Returns To Tottenham Hotspur
Published: January 18, 2016
Tottenham Hotspur have cut short Nathan Oduwa’s loan spell with Scottish club Rangers six months before the agreement was due to expire.
The Anglo - Nigerian has returned to White Hart Lane and will consider the options available before the close of the January transfer window as he is not guaranteed a first team shirt by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
During the five months he spent at the Ibrox Stadium, Oduwa appeared 19 times for Rangers across all competitions, scoring against Dumbarton FC on December 1 and notched 5 assists.
It is being speculated that Rangers and the attacker agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent because manager Mark Warburton is close to signing a new frontman which will push him further down the pecking order.
London - born Oduwa is one of the foreign - based professionals with dual nationality on the radar of Dream Team VI coach, Samson Siasia.
