Sunday Oliseh : We Are Not Going Out Of This Tournament Without A Fight
Published: January 19, 2016
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has reacted to the national team’s 4 - 1 victory over Niger Republic in their first game at the ongoing African Nations Championship.
With three points in the kitty after the encounter at the Stade Régional Nyamirambo, Kigali , the former Juventus and Ajax Amsterdam midfielder reckons that his boys can win the competition because of their commitment.
“For me as a coach, with these guys it is easy to work because they are hungry and also because they want to learn and they are always asking questions, sometimes too much, ” Oliseh said on Monday night.
“But the good thing was that like you saw in the first half today they were kind of nervous a bit, getting on the international stage for the first time.
“I will assure you one thing, like I told you the last time, we are not going out of this tournament without a fight and hopefully by God’s grace we will win the Cup. ”
The Super Eagles will hold a recovery session on Tuesday afternoon at the Mumena Stadium, Nyamirambo, starting from 1400 hours Nigerian time.
