Werder Bremen End Pursuit Of Expensive Eddy Onazi
Published: January 28, 2016
Werder Bremen have pulled the plug in their pursuit of Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi after failing to meet his valuation.
The online edition of German newspaper Kreiszeitung has reported that the Nigeria international will cost eight million euros, a high transfer fee to the Weserstadion outfit.
In addition, the Bundesliga side have taken note that Eddy Onazi lacks match practice, with only 6 games under his belt in the Serie A from a possible 21.
The central midfielder has been linked with possible moves to Newcastle United and Swansea City in this window but the English clubs have not firmed up their interest by making an official bid to the Biancoceleste.
Eddy Onazi is tied to Lazio until the summer of 2018.
