Bartholomew Ogbeche Ruled Out For Rest Of The Season With Shoulder Injury
Published: February 23, 2016
Bartholomew Ogbeche has been ruled out of action for the remainder of this season after picking up a shoulder injury last weekend in a league game against FC Utrecht.
The official website of Willem II has reported that the Nigeria international has torn off a band in his shoulder called the AC Joint and will need to undergo surgery on Thursday which will sideline him for several months.
The 31-year-old was brought down by Utrecht goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter in Sunday’s game but still managed to haul himself to his feet to convert the penalty before he walked out of the pitch five minutes later.
Ogbeche joined FC Utrecht from Eredivisie rivals SC Cambuur in the winter transfer market on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
He has made four starts for the team from Tilburg and was on target once.
