Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini has heaped praise on Kelechi Iheanacho on the back of his impressive display against Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Nigeria international’s brace against the Potters means he will end the campaign with at least 11 goals across all competitions in his first full season as a professional.
“Kelechi is a player with an important role at this Club. He played very well and his contribution is important. I am very pleased,” the Chilean manager told reporters.
Next up, Manchester City will host Real Madrid in the Champions League Semi-final, Game 1 at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, April 26.
