Kelechi Iheanacho Is Third Most Effective Striker In England, Behind Aguero&Sturridge
Published: April 25, 2016
Kelechi Iheanacho has the third best minutes-per-goal ratio in the English Premier League this season following his brace against Stoke City this past weekend.
Only Manchester City teammate Sergio Aguero and Liverpool frontman Daniel Sturridge have a better strike rate than the Nigeria international.
In 2,195 minutes of football, the Argentina star has found the net 23 times and has scored in every 95.4 minutes, while the England international has registered 8 goals after 800 minutes of game time, that is 100 minutes per goal.
Iheanacho comes next as the player that has scored more frequently, with his five Premier League goals coming in 520 minutes of game time, an average of 104 minutes per goal.
In his debut season as a professional, the 19-year-old has played mostly as a super sub, having made 19 appearances off the bench.
