Alex Iwobi Shortlisted For Arsenal Player Of The Month Award
Published: April 26, 2016
Super Eagles attacking midfielder midfielder Alex Iwobi is in the running for Arsenal’s Vitality Player of the Month for April 2016.
The official website of the Gunners has revealed that the 19-year-old has been nominated for the award and will have to see off competition from the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Mohamed Elneny.
Iwobi made the starting line-up in every single game contested by Arsenal in the Premier League during the period under review, against Watford, West Ham, Crystal Palace, West Brom and the recent match with Sunderland.
The Hale End Academy product was on target against the Hornets on April 2 before notching two helpers against West Ham a week later.
Egypt international Mohamed Elneny won the Player of the Month award for March.
