Published: April 27, 2016
Nigeria U20 international Chidiebere Nwakali scored his first professional goal in IK Start’s 3-0 rout of Fram Larvik in the Norwegian Cup on Wednesday evening.
On 72 minutes, the Manchester City loanee opened scoring at Framparken (Larvik) before setting up Robert Sandnes for the second goal of the game a minute later.
“I distributed many balls and created many chances. Now we’re going back to the standard we want to be on , so this victory was important to bring up the mood of the team again,” Nwakali told IK Start’s official website.
With the tie ended as a contest following the third goal netted by Eirik Wichne, Nwakali made way for compatriot Austine Uzoremeke in the 82nd minute.
The central midfielder has seven appearances to his name in all competitions since joining IK Start on loan from Man City in March.
