Manchester United,Chelsea Not Giving Up Pursuit Of Ighalo; Arsenal Drop Off In The Race
Published: May 01, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Manchester United and Chelsea have not given up their pursuit of Watford striker Odion Ighalo two months before teams are allowed to bring out their cheque books to sign reinforcements.
In recent days, representatives of the two English Premier League powerhouses have enquired about the availability of the Nigeria international through his intermediary.
While Ighalo has also been linked with a move to the Emirates, it can be revealed that Arsenal’s interest in the former Lyn Oslo and Granada star has gone cold as the Londoners have not made any contact whatsoever with the player’s reps in recent weeks.
A couple of so-called mid-table teams, including West Ham and Everton, are in touch with the 26-year-old’s camp regarding a summer move.
Ighalo has netted 16 goals in all competitions this season and is contracted to Watford until the summer of 2020.
