Exclusive : Portuguese Segunda Liga Top Scorer Nwankwo Bids Farewell To Gil Vicente

The prolific Gil Vicente striker Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo has declared that he will end his three-year association with the Portuguese Segunda Liga club at the end of this season.
Nwankwo, who is the leading scorer in the Portuguese second-tier, has revealed that he will not be extending his contract which expires on June 30, though the club would love to prolong his stay.
“I will be leaving Gil Vicente, they know it is almost impossible for me to stay,” Simeon Nwankwo told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I have not bothered discussing a new contract because they know I’m leaving.
“I can’t say the teams that have made contact with me and my agent as I’m not thinking about that now, I will look at it by the end of the season. ”
In 41 appearances in the league this season, Simeon Nwankwo has netted 18 goals (5 assists).
