CSKA Moscow Striker Samuel Professes Love For Chelsea,Ibrahimovic
Published: May 10, 2016
Injured CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel has professed his love for Chelsea, adding that he supports the club because his skipper in the national team, John Obi Mikel, represents the English Premier League team.
The Nigeria international is confirmed out of the international friendlies against Mali and Luxembourg after tearing the lateral ligament of the knee during the first half of the Russian Cup final.
“Chelsea is my favourite club, I am always rooting for them and because of Mikel too, but it started much earlier because Nigerians have always played for Chelsea - for example Celestine Babayaro,” Aaron Samuel told sportfakt.ru.
“Didier Drogba, although he is not from Nigeria but he is a living legend in Africa and well known on the continent.
“Ibrahimovic is my favourite striker. When Zlatan plays I am willing to watch him without stopping. This is a terrific player, each action is a delight.”
The 21-year-old Samuel will undergo surgery in the coming days in Germany and will not play again this season.
