Published: May 12, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Flying Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been scheduled to undergo a scan on Thursday night after picking up what appears to be shoulder injury during the second half of the 2-1 win over the Nigeria U23s.
As at the time of this report, the Wolfsburg trainee was having dinner with his teammates, and will take a bath before his appointment with the medics.
The test results will only be known as from tomorrow, Friday, but in the meantime officials have insisted that the attacker will be patched up for next weekend’s game against Burundi, stating that he was treated immediately after the injury occurred.
Osimhen will not take part in the squad’s recovery session on Friday evening and won’t train on Saturday.
The 17-year-old can only be reassessed on Monday morning as Sunday is non-training day for the Nigeria U20s.
