Nigerian Exports: Uzochukwu, Dike, Oshaniwa Start; Dauda On Song; Nwakali Clocks Up 90 Minutes; Ogude SuspendedCatch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the European Leagues on Thursday.

We start off in Holland. PEC Zwolle were forced to a goalless draw in the Eredivisie Europa League playoffs against FC Utrecht. Netherlands youth international Kingsley Ehizibue came off the bench for the home team after 63 minutes.

In the Scottish Premiership, Abiola Dauda scored his fifth goal in the division as Hearts beat Aberdeen 1-0 at the Pittodrie Stadium. The Vitesse loanee subbed out  in the 79th minute after netting the game-winner in the 64th minute.

Teammate and Nigeria international wing-back Juwon Oshaniwa played the full game and was booked in the 24th minute.

Super Eagles midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu started and played 74 minutes of OB Odense’s 1-0 win at FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga.

Still in Scandinavia, Onyekachi Ugwuadu did not make Sarpsborg’s 18-man squad versus Aalesund in the Norwegian Tippeligaen. It finished 1-0 in favour of the home team at the Sarpsborg Stadion.

Elsewhere, Samuel Adegbenro and Suleiman Abdullahi started for Viking in their 1-0 loss to Ohi Omoijuanfo’s Stabaek. The former Norway youth international and Adegbenro played the full game while Abdullahi subbed out after 67 minutes.

Viking had a Nigerian player on the bench, Usmani Sale. Aniekpeno Udoh was not part of the traveling party to Bærum.

Chidiebere Nwakali clocked up ninety minutes in IK Start’s 2-0 loss to Scandinavian powerhouse Rosenborg at the Soer Arena. Striker Austin Ikenna was on the bench for the home team.

Across the border, in Russia, Brian Idowu and Bright Dike were named in the starting line-up as Amkar Perm lost 2-0 at Terek Grozny in a Premier League tie. The Nigeria international subbed out in the 51st minute.

Ex-Norway youth international Chuma Anene remained on the bench for the whole game, Fegor Ogude was suspended after picking up a red card in the last round.
