VVV Venlo Set For Huge Pay Day If Musa Joins Leicester City
Published: May 27, 2016
VVV Venlo will pocket a percentage of the transfer fee from CSKA Moscow’s proposed sale of Ahmed Musa to an English Premier League club, thought to be Leicester City.
The Nigeria international was on the books of VVV Venlo for about fifteen months before he was sold to the Army Men, and the Eerste Divisie club had inserted a sell-on clause into the contract.
CSKA Moscow coach Leonid Slutsky recently confirmed that Leicester City have made a bid a little less than 30 million euros to secure the signature of Ahmed Musa this summer.
“If CSKA sell him for that amount , we are very happy. On the agreement between us and CSKA I do not comment, VVV Venlo director Marco Bogers told Voetbal International.
“But it involves a lot of money for a club like VVV , which would be particularly welcome for us .
“It remains to be seen . It’s a deal where we have no influence , but we would benefit. ”
VVV Venlo agreed to end their association with Ahmed Musa after CSKA Moscow paid a transfer fee of five million euros.
