How Argentine Agent Marcelo Houseman Trafficked Sunshine Stars Striker Okiki To South America
Published: June 25, 2016
After investigations conducted by allnigeriasoccer.com editorial staff, it can be revealed that Sunshine Stars forward Okiki Afolabi departed the shores of the country along with Argentinian agent Marcelo Houseman, thinking he was going to sign for a European team.
Okiki was deceived into following Houseman to Argentina, confused about what is happening to him in the South American country because he doesn’t understand Spanish, and doesn’t know the identity of the club he has been taken to.
That said, the pictures of the bus he managed to send to this website strongly suggest that he is training with famous Argentine club Racing Club.
The striker was asked by the intermediary to send his passport page and curriculum vitae, and found himself in Argentina few days later after he was sent a cable visa.
Marcelo Houseman is working in partnership with a Lagos-based football investor who owns a hotel and it was the Nigerian that financed the trip to Argentina.
Okiki Afolabi began his career at a Football Academy bankrolled by former Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, are they are the rightful owners of the player.
He has been loaned out to Shooting Stars and Sunshine Stars in the last few seasons. The player trained with the second team of the Argentine club on Friday.
