Exciting Winger Olamide Shodipo Turning Heads At Queens Park Rangers
Published: July 02, 2016
Olamide Shodipo is inching closer to making his competitive debut for Championship side Queens Park Rangers, ahead of the forthcoming season.
In the 2015-2016 campaign, the exciting winger was one of the key men in QPR’s U21s squad but is currently training with the first team, taking part in a friendly against Aldershot Town on Friday night.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side won that friendly at the EBB Stadium 3-2, with the Nigerian opening scoring in the 16th minute before he subbed out at the start of the second half.
Aged 18, Queens Park Rangers higher-ups are aware of Shodipo’s qualities and offered him a new deal in April which will keep him at Loftus Road until the summer of 2018.
He was born in Dublin but grew up in London, and has four appearances under his belt for the Republic of Ireland U19s squad.
