Published: July 03, 2016
Dennis Adeniran is eager to break into the first team of Fulham in the 2016-2017 season.
The 17-year-old, who is an attacking midfielder, has been invited to train with the first team during pre-season and hopes to catch the eye of manager Slaviša JokanoviÄ.
“It was a bit of a surprise but I worked hard last season and managed to break into the England team, so I like to think I’ve deserved it,” Adeniran told fulhamfc.com on Thursday.
“It’s a lot of work training with the First Team and you’re always expected to perform, but I’m starting to get used to it now, I’m getting into my groove.
“I expect a lot of myself, so I’m aiming to make my debut this season. It would mean a lot to me to do that with Fulham as I’ve been here since I was 13.”
Adeniran was in good form for the U18s team of Fulham last season and played some games for the U21s .
The London-born player represented England at the Under-17 European Championship in May.
