Michael Uchebo To Report Boavista To Fifa; FORCING Striker To Accept Pay Cut

Portuguese Primeira Liga club Boavista are forcing Michael Uchebo to accept a pay cut despite the fact that they owe him two months wages and this is not the first time that they have been in arrears.

In the past, The Panthers struggled to remain a going concern and suffered relegation to the third-tier, having failed to meet obligations to their creditors.

They were then promoted after promising to run the club in a stable way but it looks like they are back to their old ways.

“They keep calling him to meetings and trying to force him to sign documents to accept reduce salary, they have tried this several times, ” a source close to Uchebo told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“They have even threatened that he would not play until he accepts a lower salary and he would be isolated.

“On two occasions there were two clubs that agreed to sign Michael but Boavista turned it down.”

Boavista want to cash in on Uchebo and have plans to sell him to a club in Asia, which is against his will as he wants to remain in Europe.

“Last window he was ready to go but Boavista refused.

“They are trying to sell him to regions that the player doesn’t want to go to so they can generate money from a sale , that is Korea, Middle East and Asia.

“People should not expect Africans to work for free, those days have gone, ” he added.

The 26-year-old Michael Uchebo earns 20,000 euros net every month at Boavista.

Reuben Gabriel and Uche Nwofor have not been paid by Boavista for two months and the club have also been illegally trying to force Nwofor to accept a wage reduction by threatening to not play him which is against the Fifa rules.
