Everton To Challenge Leicester For Welsh Winger Of Nigerian Descent
Published: July 05, 2016
Everton have joined Premier League champs Leicester City in the race for the services of the Wales international of Nigerian descent Hal Robson-Kanu, according to reports.
The Sun says Robson-Kanu has emerged as a transfer target for the new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman after putting himself in the shop window at the ongoing European Championship in France.
Everton have cash to spend in this transfer window, thanks to new investor Farhad Moshiri, and have made initial inquiries regarding the availability of the Wales winger.
The 27-year-old is now a free agent after choosing not to extend his contract with Reading at the end of last season.
Born in London, England, Hal Robson-Kanu spent his formative years at Arsenal before transferring to Reading in 2004.
