Nwakali To Undergo Hip Replacement Surgery; Trip To Arsenal Remains Cloudy
Published: July 13, 2016
Kelechi Nwakali`s brother and intermediary Allwell Nwakali will have to undergo surgery in India or the United Kingdom after he was attacked by hoodlums at the Federal University of Technology Owerri days leading up to the Flying Eagles clash against Sudan.
While it has been decided that Nwakali will undergo hip replacement surgery, the good news is that he has been discharged from the hospital.
“I am now better but I will need to go to India or UK for surgery, we are negotiating with FUTO. They have pleaded that we should not go to court, they are ready to settle it ” Nwakali told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has been linked with a move to Arsenal for the past seven months but Flying Eagles duties have prevented him from traveling to London to complete the move and it remains status quo.
“Any moment from now we will go to Arsenal, they can`t allow him go now because of the narrow victory in the first leg against Sudan.
“We can`t betray the coach (Amuneke) because he has been helping us in the past, ” concluded Allwell Nwakali.
