Tosin Kehinde Fails To Save Man Utd XI From Defeat Against Port Vale
Published: July 30, 2016
Manchester United XI had two players of Nigerian descent on their roster in their 4-2 loss to Port Vale in a pre-season fixture staged at Vale Park on Saturday afternoon.
Tosin Kehinde entered into the fray in the 52nd minute following an injury to Josh Harrop, while USA youth-teamer Matthew Olosunde was introduced in the closing minutes.
Cicilia (2), Foley and Sean Goss (OG) registered their names on the score-sheet for the homers, while Sadiq El-Fitouri and Demitri Mitchell netted for the Red Devils.
The 18-year-old Kehinde has been outstanding for Manchester United U23s at pre-season, finding the net against Altrincham and Salford City, but could not add to his goal tally against the stronger League One opponents.
In their next fixture, Manchester United U23s face Oldham Athletic in the Lancashire Senior Cup semi-final.
