Published: August 06, 2016
Four players of Nigerian descent are set to feature at the Nya Ullevi (Göteborg) in Sweden in the pre-season fixture between Arsenal and Manchester City on Sunday evening.
The Citizens have announced via their official webpage that Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho, 19, and England youth-teamer of Nigerian descent Tosin Adarabioyo, 18, are in the traveling party to Scandinavia.
Both teenagers have been involved in City’s two fixtures in pre-season, against Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, with Adarabioyo going the distance in both matches.
On the other hand, manager Arsene Wenger has included Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom in his roster for his side’s tour of Scandinavia and both got on the scoresheet in the 8-0 rout of Viking on Friday.
Last season, the Gunners beat City 2-1 at the Emirates before sharing the spoils in the reverse fixture at the Etihad.
