Siasia Announces Starting XI To Face Sweden; Mikel, Etebo, Umar Retain Spots

Nigeria U23 coach Samson Siasia is sticking with the same squad that beat Japan 5-4 on Thursday for tonight’s Group B fixture against Sweden at Amazônia Arena, Manaus.

Thus, Enugu Rangers goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel will start despite conceding four goals against the Asians.

William Troost-Ekong, Abdullahi Shehu, Sincere Seth and Stanley Amuzie are the back four.

Turkish-based frontman Umar Aminu trained for the first time on Brazilian soil on Saturday but has only made the bench, along with ex- Shooting Stars striker Ajayi, Akpeyi, Udo, Madu, Saturday and Popoola.
