Super Eagles Winger Moses Simon Named To The Team Of The Week In Belgium
Published: August 08, 2016
Moses Simon, 21, has been named to the Belgian First Division A Team of the Week for the latest round of matches .
The winger received the honours after starring at the Ghelamco Arena (Arteveldestadion) as KAA Gent recorded a 1-0 victory over Racing Genk on Sunday, August 7.
In a 3-5-2 formation, the Nigeria international occupied the left side of midfield, with Matthys positioned on the right wing.
In the new season, Moses is back to his form of 2015, in which he scored seven goals in seventeen appearances in the topflight, and assisted The Buffalos win their first title.
Perhaps, he would have been representing Nigeria at the ongoing Olympic Games in Rio, but Gent higher-ups did not permit him to attend a get-together in Atlanta prior to the competition.
Team Of The Week : Bizot, Mitrovic, Dewaest, Foket, Dendoncker, Jonckheere, Matthys, Simon, Bolbat, Musona, Teodorczyk
