Exclusive: Osaguona Ighodaro Rejects N630 Million Wages Offered By Genclerbirligi
Published: August 12, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Nigeria international Osaguona Ighodaro has turned down an offer from Turkish Super Lig team GençlerbirliÄi S.K.
The former Enugu Rangers star was offered a three-year deal that would have seen him earn €1.5 million ( N630 million) wages over the duration of the contract.
Osaguona was advised against the move by his advisors because of the security situation in the country and also the reputation of Turkish clubs for not honoring their contracts.
GençlerbirliÄi S.K made series of attempts to convince the attacker to come to Turkey but the player refused.
Another reason for the refusal of the player to go to the club is that the club’s representatives said part of his salary ( €150,000) will go to the club director and coach!
The 25-year-old is a free agent now because he has terminated his contract with Raja Casablanca for sporting just cause.
