Published: August 14, 2016
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has named his starting lineup for the Premier League match against Liverpool at the Emirates.
Nigeria international Alex Iwobi starts in attacking midfield for the Gunners, with Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey offering support.
In-form England U21 international of Nigerian descent Chuba Akpom is amongst the substitutes.
The Nigerian players at Liverpool Sheyi Ojo and Tiago Ilori were not considered, with the Portugal U23 international expected to return to Anfield this week after his country’s elimination from the Olympic Games.
Iwobi, 20, will be playing his 14th game in the Premier League since he made his debut for Arsenal, while Akpom will make his fifth appearance if he comes off the bench.
