Olufela Olomola Nets Brace In Southampton Rout Of Liverpool

Southampton U23s kicked off their Premier League 2 season with a 4-1 rout of Liverpool at Prenton Park on Sunday.
A brace by Olufela Olomola and goals from Sims and Hesketh sealed the win for the Saints, while Ings scored the Reds solitary goal in the 35th minute.
Liverpool threatened to fight back until Olomola restored Southampton’s two-goal advantage in the 52nd minute when he fired home from close range off a corner kick by Thomas O’Connor.
On 69 minutes, the former Arsenal youth-teamer grabbed his brace, netting with a brilliant finish into the top corner.
Sheyi Ojo, Ovie Ejaria and Bobby Adekanye did not feature for the Reds.
