Breaking: Dimgba, Mohammed, Nigeria U23 Media Officer, 3 Officials Sent Home From Brazil
Published: August 15, 2016
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that four officials of the Dream Team and the two remaining alternate players on the roster will fly out from Brazil on Monday.
The affected persons that will depart the Nigeria U23s camp include the Media Officer, Timi Ebikagboro, curator, team coordinator, Stanley Dimgba and goalkeeper Yusuf Mohammed.
The reason they have been sent back to Nigeria is that they are not included in the official 25 accredited persons (that is 18 players and 7 officials) allowable by the International Olympic Committee, and both the NFF and Sports Ministry are unable to continue footing their bills in Brazil.
The officials and players will depart Brazil today and will arrive Nigeria in the early hours of Tuesday.
Meanwhile, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, will arrive Sao Paulo tomorrow to support the Dream Team in his capacity as leader of the football team to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
