Published: August 16, 2016
Talented Nigerian midfielder Tosin Kehinde was in action as Manchester United U23s commenced their campaign in the Premier League 2 with a hard fought 1-0 win over Leicester City on Monday.
Kehinde was named in the starting XI alongside USA youth-teamer Matt Olosunde , while Layton Ndukwu started on the bench for the Foxes and was introduced in the 63rd minute.
He was involved in Manchester United’s best chance of the first half when he passed to Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, but the defender’s shot was saved by Iversen.
Demetri Mitchell’s outrageous lob with three minutes remaining secured all three points for the Red Devils.
Kehinde and his Manchester United teammates next face Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.
